Did you know that 150 years ago, Japan celebrated the New Year according to the lunar calendar? It wasn’t until recent times that Japan began celebrating New Year on January 1st. To honor this tradition and welcome our guests from across the globe, especially those from the Chinese-speaking community, we are thrilled to offer a special event at our glamping facility.
Celebrate this Spring Festival with a luxurious glamping experience overlooking Mount Fuji while immersing yourself in the authentic Japanese New Year spirit!

We’ve prepared an exciting lineup of activities and perks:
• A Japanese hatsumode (first shrine visit of the year) experience
• Mochi-pounding workshops
• Handheld fireworks within the facility
• Barrel sauna sessions
• Special Japanese New Year cuisine

Special Event Highlights
1. Japanese Hatsumode Experience
Draw your fortune at the shrine, where each fortune includes a prize! From “Great Blessings” (limited) to “Good Luck,” enjoy a truly Japanese tradition. Hatsumode typically involves visiting a shrine at midnight on New Year’s Eve.
2. Handmade Mochi-Pounding Experience
In Japanese New Year traditions, families would gather to pound mochi, symbolizing unity and togetherness. Try your hand at this fun and cultural activity!
3. Handheld Fireworks
Enjoy handheld fireworks with family or friends after dinner. Available for purchase at 550 JPY per pack.
4. New Year’s Special Discount for Barrel Sauna (Reservation Required 3 Days in Advance)
Warm up in a cozy barrel sauna amidst the chilly Kawaguchiko weather.
• Capacity: Up to 6 people per group
• Special Price: 6,600 JPY/2 hours
• Times: 3:00 PM or 7:00 PM
5. Special Osechi Cuisine
Relish a traditional Japanese New Year breakfast with osechi ryori on the mornings of January 30 and 31, 2025. This deeply flavorful dish reflects the warmth of a Japanese home. Dinner options will still include BBQ or sukiyaki.
6. Complimentary Shuttle Service
Enjoy free shuttle service between Kawaguchiko Station and our facility.

• Pickup Times (from Kawaguchiko Station): 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Departure Times (from the facility): 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
• Capacity: Up to 9 people
• Meeting Point: Kawaguchiko Station, Stop #10 (Shuttle Bus Area)
• Important Notes:
• Reservations are required and communication via LINE is mandatory on the day of use.
• The shuttle will depart on schedule. Late arrivals will result in automatic cancellation, so please plan accordingly.
7. Ema Votive Offerings
Write your prayers or gratitude on ema plaques and dedicate them at our facility. These plaques will later be ceremonially burned on-site for blessings.
